I am Misti Earls, this is my first year with the Leavenworth School District as an ECSE teacher. I have over 12 years experience in Early Childhood and I look forward to meeting everyone. Please stop by and say hello at Back to School Night. This will be on August 14 from 5:00-6:00.
Our classroom is room 213, in the green hallway, at David Brewer Elementary. Our morning class will meet from 8:10 - 11:10 and our afternoon class will meet from 12:20-3:10. Our morning bus will arrive to the school at 8:00 am so the kids may eat breakfast, and join the morning Assembly. The afternoon bus will arrive at 12:00 pm so the kids will be able to eat lunch, they will dismiss at 3:10
Please be sure to send your child’s book bag everyday that has at least 1 set of extra clothing, including underwear, with your child. If your child is still in pull ups or diapers, please supply them and wipes. I will be sending out a school supply list home the first week of school (this will also be available at our Back to School Night). I would also love volunteers to make play dough for our classroom.
We will be sending home a pocket folder in your childs book bag, we will use this to communicate daily. We will put daily progress notes, as well as newsletters, notes from the school, and any other important information in the folder. Please place notes and other information from home, as well as, breakfast or lunch money in the folder. We will check these folders daily. I will also make a monthly newsletter, I will send a copy home as well as post a copy to our web page.
There is a breakfast(morning class) or lunch (afternoon class) program available at David Brewer Elementary. We will take the first 30 minutes of class to eat. We will also have snack at the end of each class day, a snack calendar(Tuesday and Thursday, we will provide a healthy snack Monday and Wednesday) will be sent home starting in September. Please let us know if your child will or will not be eating breakfast or lunch. If your child has any diet or food restrictions please let us know right away. You can get more information about the breakfast/lunch program by contacting our secretary at 684-1490.
When your child will not be at school, please call the office at 684-1490 and the bus barn(if you receive transportation) at 682-2244. They will let us know that your child will not be in class.
